oneM2M for Smart Agriculture in the Indian Context

Agriculture plays an important role in India’s economy, affecting more than 70% of its population and its food security system. The Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI) recently published the findings of a study on the use of oneM2M for smart-agriculture, end-to-end monitoring in the Indian context. Among its recommendations is an implementation of oneM2M, the Indian national standard for IoT. The approach entails establishing a oneM2M-based infrastructure, incorporating Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and other access technologies to 3GPP connectivity, to collect and process data for various purposes.
